*sigh*

It has been a slow few days in the hockey world, though I swear if the fan-updated Capitals twitter posts ONE MORE TWEET about how apparently, the Capitals have something in common with the Cavaliers or that they drafted six skaters, I’m going to kill someone. Seriously! Stop blocking up my twitter!

Anyway, I was perusing random hockey message boards, looking for nothing in particular, and found this gem of a video:

While the Penguins’ win of the Cup is STILL a sore subject for me (I try to ignore all things Stanley-related), this video made me laugh ridiculously hard. I mean, it’s obvious it was done by a guy, and I’m wondering why he spent so much time on the rap and video. Meghan and I are wondering who he has a bigger mancrush on, Crosby or Malkin. If someone asked, they’d TOTALLY make my day XD

In other news, free agency begins soon, and while management has been unclear, GMGM did mention he would be watching the market. I hope if the Caps do accquire someone, it’s not someone gross. Haha. Also, it is a question who is going to be staying in Washington. The UFAs are Brashear, Giroux, Johnson, Kozlov, Fedorov, and Kronwall. We all know Kozzie and Feds won’t be back, and it is in question whether Brash will be back. I adore Brashear, honestly. He’s just amusing to me, and I’m afraid if he leaves the Caps, no one else will put up with his crap. I know I wouldn’t put up with it if I was in management’s position. When it comes to Johnson, Meghan has touched on the subject. She has more of an attachment to him, though I don’t have a problem with him. I just wonder if he sticks around, will he be even played? At this point, Varlamov and Neuvirth have proven themselves as being future star goalies, even at the age of 21. We all watched Varly dominate during the playoffs, and Neuvirth helped lead the Bears to a Calder Cup.  Both are amazing players, and if Johnson sticks around, he may not even be played. Remember, we still have Theodore… unfortunately.

We’ll just have to see what happens.

In news of renewed contracts: Bourque, Fehr, Gordon, Jurcina, Morrisonn, Pinizzotto, Schultz, and Wilson are returning to the club for the 2009-2010 season. Honesty, the only ones I care about are Bourque, Fehrsie, Gordon, Juicy, and Mo. I absolutely adore Mo, Juicy, and Gordon, and I am glad to see they’re going to be back :]

Don’t read this by the way if for some reason you don’t know or don’t want to know who won the Stanely and/or Calder Cup last night.

So somehow I’m just super pissed at the Caps. How could they do this to me? What kind of people hurt their fans like this? You’re not the Browns guys. I’m so mad at you all. If you had beat them in the first place I would not be in this situation.

Dear Lemieux,
Though I did not see it I heard you had a moment where you ranted on how awesome it is that Crosby lives with you. Though I did not see it I understand it was either A. Egotisitical (like oh my epicness is rubbing off on him) or B. Majorly creepy. You’re a hockey legend I don’t want to hear about you being creepy and/or egotisitical. It’s not attractive.

I must say that was cathartic.

Oh well that just made me happier. Tricked my Crosby loving friend who I’m arguing with to open an email (I sent it earlier this week) full of Ovie pictures by putting the subject as Taylor Lautner. She was maaad.

Game 7

So tonight’s game 7. It should be starting tonight at 8, but we all know NBC decides to talk for a million-kajillion hours about stuff no one cares about, so the game REALLY won’t start until 8:30ish, maybe a little before. Ugh, I friggin’ hate games on NBC. The annoucers couldn’t be more obnoxious, and I hate Pierre McGuire with every fiber of my being. I miss my MAMTs so badly. Hell, I just miss the Capitals.

Anyway, tonight’s game could go either way, because as much as I hate to admit this, the Pens are essentially a good team…at times. But I think the Wings have more talent (except for my little Geni), even though I cannot stand them. I’m just hoping for a good start to my summer, which began today, which means I can kinda-sorta-almost-maybe call myself a senior now! But that has absolutely nothing to do with hockey…. SOOOOOO

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the Wings come out victorious for another year, and Ovie&gang have a chance of getting the Cup before stupid Crosby&gang ( sorry Geni :[ ). I’m sure I’ll update this post during and/or after the game in (hopefully) good spirits.

EDIT: FML. This is ridiculous. Way to ruin my summer, Detroit. I’m pissed off now, and it’s going to build up overnight. People better watch out tomorrow. But congrats to Geni. Maybe next week I’ll be actually excited for you…

I Just Want It All to End!

Let just end it. I’m so sick of this series. I don’t know why but I just want it to be over with. I’m sick of both teams. My temporary rooting for Wings is starting to annoy me. I don’t like them that much I just hate the Pen’s more. I’m sick of the Pens. Malkin, and Pen’s not Eric (oh snap) Staal, and Crosballs, and Flower ‘Chicken legs’ Power go take a vacation. May I recommend lovely Playoff Vacation land? The Wings went there last night. But no one told Chris ‘baby face’ Osgood and he was very confusedly actually playing like there’s a cup on the line. Silly goalie cups are for teams who are actually trying…

I’m sick of smack talking with my pens fan friends and then them winning. It doesn’t work for me. I’m sick of seeing a million shots of Crosball’s creepy playoff “beard” flashing across my screen.  My throat is sore from going “Ewwww” in knee jerk reaction. Malkin losing his temper so much that when I started to lose my temper someone said “Don’t be a Malkin Meghan” That is my little emo kids ‘thing’ knock it off Geni! I see you.  I see what your doing. Okay well I don’t know what your doing but stop taking my angry little Russians job.

One thing I’m not getting sick of is taking the mickey out of Anna cause yesterday she made the mistake of saying “You know sometimes I feel kinda bad for Crosby.” And I agreed but then she keep going on to which I went “Anna and Crosby sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G…”  Do you hear that Crosby? Anna loves you. Plus I think you two crazy kids could make it if it weren’t for that whole Anna hearts the Caps thing. Well you guys are birthday buddies so its fate!

Let this just be over soon. I’m tired. I need like a two week break from hockey and then we’re smashingly ready for the new season.

I should not be enjoying Game 5 so much. I hate both teams, though my hate is stronger toward the Penguins, and I find the finals extremely, extremely boring. I haven’t been looking forward to the games during the finals, and not just because I’m not a fan of either team. Usually, I can watch any hockey game, and be entertained, but there is something about this series…

Yet tonight, I’ve found myself barely able to take my eyes away from my television screen. Hell, I didn’t even mind the stupid NBC announcers. The Penguins were CRUSHED by Detroit tonight. 5-0 has never been so sweet. I love watching Pittsburgh fail epically almost as much I love to watch my Caps succeed epically. I honestly should not have enjoyed the game as much as I did.

And where did my precious Geni go tonight? Did he join Mike Green, Eric Staal, and Sidney Crosby in Usuckistan? That would be sad. He, Greenie, and Staal had better tie Crosberry to a tree, and find away out of there ASAP. I need my Greenie next season, and Staal when he’s not playing the Caps, and Geni so he makes Crosby look bad. XD.

Bring on Game 6! Let’s hope for another defeat like last year!

Are you Sure I’m Watching the Finals?

Seriously. Am I the only one who’s finding them boring? Maybe it’s because I could care less about either team (except my dear Geni), but I think it’s just because it really is, boring that is. The only thing I really care about in this Stanley Cup Finals is the Penguins losing. I need them to lose. I wouldn’t be able to function for days in the Penguins won.

Enough said, for now at least.

I’m Sorry…

I’m sorry that I just can’t get excited for these finals. I try but I’m tired, I’m cranky, and I just miss my Caps. I watched sort of… I laughed when Fluery’s butt scored a goal for Detroit… again. I let out a shout when Crosby had the guts to hit a Redwing with his stick in the hand shake line then run away. I cheered that the Wings won. But, well I spent more time watching Dirty Harry than the game. And, frankly if your asking me to choose between a first game of a finals with two teams neither of which I like and a movie I do well I’ll be flipping back and forth.

And, something else that I’m not crazy about the constant comparing of Geni to Crosby. KNOCK IT OFF! They are two different people. At least my poor emo kid (Semie) isn’t always being compared to Ovie… he just gets ignored. But come on can we stop this? I swear Malkins probably sitting there going “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!”

And I think I’m over the ‘Hawks. No more crushes on other teams for me. I’ve learned.

I’ll try to get pumped for the game tomorrow but I have a feeling I’ll be sitting there trying to rate my favorite Caps players instead of paying attention. (It’s soooo hard!)

And It Begins…

First off, I apologize for dropping off the face of the earth. Why do teacher’s insist on piling up work mere weeks before the end of the year? Six projects in one week?!

Anyway, I’m watching Game 1 right now, and I couldn’t be more pleased, given the situation at least. I mean, I wish I was watching the Caps play, but I’ll settle for the Pens getting their asses kicked. Stupid Crosballs, trying to be all tough and stuff. He’s not. Everyone knows it. So just stop. You and your big butt are only looking more ridiculous. And I wish Game 1 would be a sign for how the rest of the series will go, but I know the Pens are too good of a team to get crushed TOO badly. So get back to me after Game 3.

If things go how I WANT them to; the Pens are gonna get CRUSHED by the Wings, again, and Crosballs will cry, again. That would be satisfying. But I know, the Pens are not the same team they were last year. But we can only hope they will get DOMINATED again.

Plus, I don’t want to deal with the Pittsburgh-loving best friend. She likes to gloat. And I like to smack her. So for her sake, she better hope the Penguins lose.

Are You Ready?

NHL.com posted the schedule for finals today and they start the 30th (this saturday). I’m not sure how I feel about this game. I guess I’m rooting for the Redwings cause I dislike the Pens though I have forgiven Malkin for crushing poor Cam and Erics (thats right Pen’s Staal I know his name!) hearts. Well I have plenty of time in between then to take a break from hockey I guess if thats a good thing. One thing that makes me sad is this means hockey season is over for everyone now.

Though that does mean my evenings will be much less tense and cardiac arrest like and I’ll be sleeping a lot more since I have no reason to stay up to watch anything seeing as due to what I see as very poor scheduling the TV seasons and hockey season run at the same time so when they both end I’m scrambling to catch up on my House that I missed before next season starts.

On a happy note the Hershey Bears are in for the Calder cup and I’m hoping they’ll make me proud.

Sharp as Tacks…

Well after an eventful day or two I thought I’d turn my attention to the Blackhawks/Redwings games seeing as the Pens won last night (and not to my surprise after the first period) I’m rooting for the ‘Hawks as I mentioned before. Now last game Huet was off and it all went down hill from there. Where was the offense? The fore-check?

So not to sound like those ohhhhhh so witty keys to the game they show but the offense needs to sharpen themselves up as in Toews,Kane, and Sharp need to generate. The defense was scrambling but that was hardly their fault. And, most of all they need to keep their cool. Freaking out and taking penalties and just trying to cause trouble does not a winning team make.

So heres hoping Khabby will be alright for the game but there’s no word yet.  And, I got to say I don’t remember much of the end of the game cause my mind sort of wandered off into la-la stare at the TV screen land but if its as bad as I recall here’s to a stronger third period.
